The following set of rules governs the conduct of forum members and are in addition to the Terms of use when you initially registered with the forum.

1. Forum rules
a. Posts are to be made in the relevant forum. Users are asked to read the forum description before posting.
b. Cross posting - Cross-posting is not allowed here. Cross-posting refers to posting new duplicate threads or posts, or the linking to threads or posts already started by the member with the intention of gaining exposure.
c. Duplicate threads (DUPE) - Do not duplicate topics that have already been posted. Please use the Search function. Duplicate topics will be locked and/or removed.
d. Flaming - Members should post in a way that is respectful of other users. Flaming or abusing users in any way will not be tolerated and may lead to a warning.
e. General Audience - Members should remember that this board is aimed at a general audience. Posting pornographic or generally offensive text, images, links, etc. will not be tolerated and will lead to a warning and/or removal from the forum.
f. Copyrighted Materials - Members are asked to respect the copyright of other users, sites, media, etc. Example: Links to MP3s of any artists whether the material is released or unreleased is not allowed.
g. CAPS / AlTeRcAps, etc. - Members should post in a way which is consistent with “normal writing”. That is users should not post excessive numbers of emoticons, large, small or colored text, etc. Similarly users should not SHOUT (via using CAPS or bold) or use excessive punctuation (e.g. ! and ?) in topic titles or posts. Users consistently abusing this will be warned.
h. Subject - Members should use an appropriate, descriptive title when posting a new topic. Examples of bad titles include: “HELP”, “I’ve got an error!” Just using “HELP” as the heading won’t get your questions answered or problems solved any faster and some members will just ignore the thread/posts all together.
i. Spam (SPAM) is not tolerated under any circumstances. This includes no spamming, no commercial-oriented posts, and no flooding the forum with useless content.
j. Trolling - "Trolling”, or makings posts with the sole intention of creating problems on the board will not be tolerated. This includes registering an alternate account for the sole purpose of creating problems on the board.
k. Edit / Remove - The moderating team reserves the right to edit or remove any post at any time and without prior notification or explanation to the author.
l. Bumping threads - You may not bump threads. Bumping can refer to posting useless information, posting one-liners or any other action to deliberately keep a thread hot or to bring it to the top of its forum. Moderators will use their discretion, depending on the nature of the post, as to whether to take action or not.
m. For Attention Of (FAO) threads are not allowed. FAO threads may be locked and/or removed.
n. Private Messaging - The above forum rules where applicable also apply to private messaging. Abuse of the private messaging system may lead to warnings and/or the revocation of private messaging.
o. Posts must be in English only - all posts must be made in English so that the Moderators can review them properly.

2. Avatars
a. User defined avatars are to be no larger than 120 pixels square. To that end, avatars must not exceed 120 pixels (width) x 120 pixels (height).
b. Avatars are subject to the same conditions as post with respect decency, and so forth.
c. Users abusing these rules will be warned and/or may lose their avatar privileges.
d. Please asks someone before using their avatar. It is mean to steal someone else's signature when they could have worked hard on it just for them.
e. The combined filesize of avatar + signature must be <= 500KB (approximately 512,000 bytes).

4. Warnings
Ketronmusic.co.uk Forum has implemented a “three strikes, you’re out” policy as of January 2010. Warnings will be issued for:

* Posting offensive material.
* Posting links to MP3 downloads (Youtube is fine).
* Using offensive, racist, homophobic, sexist language.
* Disruptive members.
* Trolling.

There are probably a few others but these are the first that come to mind.

5. Ban Contesting
Ban contesting is not allowed. Do not re-register if you have been banned. The re-registered user-id will be banned again. If you do not understand why you were banned, it is simply your failure to understand the forum rules.

6. Copyrighted Material
a. YouTube links and other forms of streaming media are allowed to be posted. Providing they don't contain any offensive material. Such as pornography, racisim, violence etc... Also no unreleased material by any artist.
b. No download links for audio or video of any kinds unless the poster is the sole owner of copyright or has complete permission from the copyright owner.

This policy is extremely reasonable. You may think the rules are being too restrictive, but keep in mind that this board is used by a wide range of ages, races, religions, and nationalities. We may have children on this board, and we have parents on this board. What you may consider appropriate may offend someone else. In addition, this is an official forum.

By posting in Ketronmusic.co.uk Forum, you agree to abide by the above rules and terms.

We expect and appreciate your cooperation.

Note: The Ketronmusic.co.uk Forum Rules have been reconstructed. The rules are subject to revisions. It is the responsibility of forum members to check this thread occasionally for any changes.
